The Stories of My Heart

{October 2, 2007}   Busy Bodies & The Party

Classes start in less than a week. I’m more than ready. I can’t wait to get re-started. I got my medical terminology book. I’m taking the accounting and medical terminology this time though.
I cleaned the front yard today. Ever since the new landlord came in and started tearing down trees and bushes the yard has looked horrible. They cut a pine tree down and that left pine needles all over the yard. Cut down 1/2 a tree in the frong yard, leaving leaves and branches. On top of the “fall season” recking havock. Then yesterday they took out a big bush/tree which left mud/dirt all over the car port and front yard. So I raked up all that and burned it. Now my front yard looks great. I started to work on the car port except that I ran out of light. I figure I’ll do that tomorrow when the trash cans are out by the road anyways. I’ve been enjoying working/spending time outside. Then I get to clean inside while the children are sleeping.
I really can’t believe it’s already October!! WOW! Where did the time go this year??? I really can’t believe how FAST this year has gone… it almost seems as though EVERY year goes quicker and quicker. Maybe it’s all part of getting older!
I ALMOST forgot to put down about the party yesterday! Granted, as I already stated… very few people showed up. But it was fun none the less. I have a lot of people who are sending stuff in the mail for the kids… so that will help in having him understand that it’s not that they don’t want to be there…. but they were busy and still thought of him! I did want to share a few photos of the day…

This is the top view of his cake… He has 6 candles and a number 6 candle on his cake.

This is the front view of his cake… It was a cute cake… concidering that I didn’t special request it, it was already made. But I did have to buy it like 3-4 days early to asure that I got the cake I wanted.

We were all singing happy birthday and he was waiting ever so patiently to blow out his candles and make a birthday wish!

Blowing out the candles… :)

I thought he looked so big in the shot… he’s really growing up and getting to be such an independent person!
